Volunteer opportunity involving a bicycle and a canal boat!

cycle chain picture2Cycle Chain is a friendly and dynamic  not-for-profit company we know who aims to broaden opportunities for people with specific learning needs through using the bicycle as a learning tool. They are also doing loads to promote cycling as a cheap and sustainable form of transport and getting people to use our canal system (they have bikes to hire!).

They used to rent space at the Coffin Works (before we started our refurbishment) and now they are set up in an historic working canal boat in Cambrian Wharf, just down the canal.

Cycle Chain refurbish bicycles and sell them to members of the public to fund their activities to support people with learning difficulties; giving opportunities to people to show what they CAN achieve if given the chance.

Problem is, they have got so many bikes to repair and simply could do with some more pairs of hands to help!

Are you interested in cycling? Do you have previous experience in cycle maintenance or a willingness to be trained? Then why not contact Mark at Cycle Chain to find out how you can get involved. Please contact Mark Duce 07598169698 for further details.
