The Friday Photo -Nechells Old Mill

DSC_5499

Goodness nearly forgot its my turn for the Friday photo luckily got a few in store. This week’s The Friday photo is of an old mill on Cato Street Nechells. If you driving from Saltley towards the city as you go over Saltley viaduct you can’t miss this incredible old derelict building. I have been meaning to photograph it for the last year but need to go back when the car scrap yard which occupies the land below is open so I can explore more.

Looks like it dates back to at least 1876 and was possibly used as some sort of brewery? Lovely to know more if anyone does please get in touch or if you know its name?

Great old photograph of the street scene on Cato Street on Midlands Heritage  safe to say the street has gone down hill.
