Before we get depressed about the onset of the colder weather hope that this week’s The Friday photo inspires people to get out and enjoy some beautiful local history here in Birmingham. Two weekends ago I took this photograph of Aston Hall. It is taken from the Lady Holte Garden which is on the left hand side of the impressive Jacobean mansion.

Gardens and walks around the surrounding parks are free. Well worth adding to autumn walks list. BMAG often run open weekends check out their events page and Candlelight tours coming up.
