Friday Photo: Bournville Quaker Meeting House

Today’s Friday photo is of the Quaker meeting house on Bournville Green. George Cadbury, a founder of Bournville Village, was a Quaker himself and the meeting house was built in 1905, having been designed by Bournville Village architect William Alexander Harvey. The Arts and Crafts style of the building features a romantic looking octagonal staircase turret and in an alcove on the gable end of the small right-hand side projection, there is the bust of George Cadbury that records the burial of his and his wife Elizabeth’s ashes on the site.
