The Friday Photo – Birmingham Central Mosque

untitled-9811 blog

One of the great things about Birmingham is that it offers some great skylines across the City with a mix of very different buildings. This weeks Friday photo was taken in Highgate looking towards Edgbaston and features the beautiful silhouette of Birmingham Mosque that can be seen there as the sunsets over Birmingham. The Mosque was built in 1969 and opened in 1975, it was one of the largest Mosques in Western Europe.
