The Friday Photo: Baddesley Clinton

I might be pushing it by classing Baddesley Clinton a Birmingham property, it’s probably more Warwick, but it has a Birmingham postcode and I love it, so I’m hoping you’ll allow me this one! Now a National Trust property, Baddesley Clinton is a beautiful moated manor house built in the 13th Century. From 1517-1940, the property was owned by the Ferrers family. The Ferrers family remained loyal to Catholicism after the Reformation and there are several priest holes incorporated into the property. These were used when a Jesuit priest conference was raided in 1591 by local authorities. No one was caught.
