Today’s Friday photo is the beautiful timber framed Blakesley Hall in Yardley.   I am not sure why I have never visited before, but yesterday was my first visit to the site! It was a fascinating afternoon.  At the moment there is a excellent exhibition on the affects of the first world war on the Merry family, who were the last family to live in the hall. I highly recommend a visit. Blakesley Hall was actually one of Sarah’s Friday photo last year, but following my visit I really loved this pictured and had to share it. It shows the hall looking spectacular even on a gloomy British summer day!
